a hopeful holiday.

Here is a news story that covered a Thanksgiving Dinner that my church, Karis Community Church, hosted last night. It was so awesome. We had a great turnout and a lot volunteers from the church.

This event was part of our Shalom ministry where we seek to really work towards the peace and good of our city through projects that meet their physical and spiritual needs. God is working in our city.

God of This City by Chris Tomlin

You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You are

You're the Light in this darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless
You are

There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City

Ryan...I'm thinking we're going to need coats, hats, and scarves for refugees this winter...we've got a ton ocming in the next two weeks and we're already getting ready for a bunch in January...can you get the word out to your people? We need all sizes- a lot of adults for sure...most of the refugees are Burmese, so they tend to be smaller though. Thanks, we appreciate it!
